Project Engineer

Description: Project Engineer has the responsibility of managing customers' programs and meeting or exceeding all customer requirements and deadlines. The project engineer accomplishes defined expectations by overseeing multiple project activities and constant communication. Duties and Responsibilities: • Ability to manage programs while maintaining overall budget and timing • Facilitate communication between internal and external parties for program needs • Ensuring all Genesis built tools meet or exceed our Tooling Standards • Customer contact to maintain continued overall satisfaction • Manage tool builds, assist in tool design, and pre-production reviews • Understand part prints (GD&T), ability to design / source inspection gages • Proactively keep customer informed of project status • Manufacturing assistance for technical advice or to resolve tooling issues • Coordinate transition from pre-production to production • Understanding of company policy and how everyone is affected • Ability to manage several programs at once and maintain organization • Assist with RFQ’s, mold quotes, supply chain management, scheduling, quality, mold maintenance, etc.. Skills: Education/Training/Experience • Knowledge of injection molding resins, injection molding press capabilities, injection molding tooling and CAD software • Strong Presentation skills and attention to detail • Understanding of AIAG and TS16949 • Excellent internal and external managerial and communication skills • Knowledge of project management • Strong computer skills in: Excel, Word, Outlook, Web Conferences

Process Engineer

Due Date: 9/8/2016

Description: Genesis Plastics & Engineering, LLC, a state-of-the-art custom injection molding facility located in Scottsburg, Indiana, currently has an immediate opening for an experienced Process Engineer. Genesis offers a benefit package including 401(k), paid holidays, paid vacation, personal days, profit sharing, gain share, etc. Genesis works a five day/week schedule; all positions are required to work overtime as needed. Responsibilities for this first-shift position include: sampling new molds, verification of process at mold change, monitoring and maintaining process parameters. Other key responsibilities include: process improvements, recommendation of tooling improvements, and overall support of the injection molding process. Description: The successful candidate for this fast-paced position must: Perform maintenance to all machines/equipment according to Maintenance Work Orders; maintain the Preventative Maintenance Schedule for all machines/equipment; complete all departmental paperwork; general housekeeping of Maintenance Department: supply orders; forklift training.

Description: This position has the Responsibilities / Authorities For: • To review at the start of the shift all Operator Instructions, packaging instructions, and when applicable any visual samples • To judge by controlled visual samples and or work instructions, the acceptability of product • To label and withhold any questionable product • To pack only acceptable product per instructions and attach operator labels • To stop the process and notify immediate supervisor if major problems arise • Safe operation of the injection molding press • To maintain housekeeping at press • To complete all departmental paperwork as required • Maintain consistent cycle • Performance of other duties as may be assigned by supervisor
